Eufrânio Lima
Minecraft server developer

I've been building Minecraft servers and mods for over 10 years, mostly for Pixelmon and Cobblemon. I started with Sponge plugins and now work on Fabric, NeoForge and Velocity. I write gameplay systems, the shared libraries under them, and the network that links the servers together. I'm also a mobile developer, and graduated from the Federal University of Sergipe.

What I work with

Skills

Platforms

  • Fabric, NeoForge, Forge and Sponge
  • Velocity proxy plugins
  • Mixins and access wideners to change vanilla and mod behaviour
  • Server-side content that works without a client mod (Polymer)

Pixelmon & Cobblemon

  • The APIs, events and battle hooks of both mods
  • Custom spawning, bosses and difficulty scaling
  • Game modes: dungeons, raids, gyms, battle facilities and tournaments
  • Economy, trading and reward systems

Networks & infrastructure

  • Cross-server communication: events and requests over Redis
  • Sharding: spreading players and data across server instances
  • Player data synced across servers, and server-to-server transfers
  • Network-wide chat, permissions and economy

Data

  • MongoDB, MySQL (HikariCP) and Redis
  • Caching, with write-behind saves for player data
  • Data-driven content in HOCON (Configurate) that staff can edit
  • Firebase and Firestore

Languages & tooling

  • Java 21, Lombok, some Kotlin
  • Gradle multi-project builds, convention plugins and version catalogs
  • Fabric Loom, and publishing to a private Maven (Nexus)
  • Dart and Flutter for mobile and web apps
  • Discord bots and integrations (JDA)

How I work

  • Modular APIs with separate interfaces and implementations
  • In-game editors and GUI menus, so content needs no code changes
  • Performance on live servers with active player bases
  • Long-term maintenance of large shared codebases

Projects

Modular server platform

Core developer 20+ modules · api / fabric / velocity

The shared platform that every mod and proxy plugin on the network is built on. Each feature is a separate module: an API, plus implementations for Fabric servers and the Velocity proxy, so features work the same everywhere.

  • Storage on MongoDB and MySQL, with per-player data
  • Network messaging and sync (observers and auto-broadcast objects) to keep state consistent across servers
  • Economy with multiple currencies, a caching layer and batch transactions
  • Teleports and server transfers through the proxy, and network-wide locations
  • Chat with channels, plus permissions, commands and events shared by Fabric and Velocity
  • Text and placeholders, including Cobblemon, economy and player resolvers
  • Config, items, inventory GUIs, cooldowns, rewards and procedural generation
  • Migrations from the legacy implementations to the new modules without breaking dependent mods

Cobblemon dungeons

Lead developer game mode · Fabric 1.21.1

Dungeons built from rooms. Parties fight through them for a graded score and rewards.

  • Content is data-driven. Maps, rooms, triggers and functions are scoped to the room, the map or globally.
  • Spawn pools are weighted and scale with difficulty. Bosses have hit phases.
  • Runs are scored on skill, speed and exploration, with a currency as the reward.
  • An in-game wizard edits dungeons through GUI menus.
  • Separate modules add bosses, skills and custom items.

Sharded game mode

Main developer common · fabric · velocity

A player-run territory game mode spread across a sharded network of servers.

  • Player and group data are cached locally and shared between servers.
  • Servers talk to each other through a Redis API of events and requests.
  • Engine commands run on the Velocity proxy. Gameplay modules run on the Fabric shards.

Custom mobs & bosses

Author core · boss · pokemon

Custom mobs and bosses for Cobblemon. They're built from templates with their own models, skills and AI.

Server feature suite

Contributor ~80 modules

The main server mod of a large Cobblemon network, made up of about 80 feature modules.

Author convention plugins · version catalog

Shared Gradle convention plugins and a published version catalog, so every project builds the same way from one set of dependency versions.

Therapy app

Developer web · Android · iOS

A mobile and web app for ABA therapy. It's outside Minecraft, but it's the same kind of long-term product work.

MagiBridge

Author 49 stars · 27 forks

A Sponge plugin that relays chat between Minecraft and Discord in both directions, using JDA. It links in-game chat channels (Nucleus, UltimateChat) to Discord channels, keeps staff chat separate and posts server start and stop messages. The MBDiscordLink addon links Minecraft accounts to Discord accounts.

PixelBuilt-Quests

Author Fabric · Forge · Sponge

A configurable quests plugin first made for the PixelBuilt server: quest lines, tasks, rewards, quests with a cost, block and entity triggers, NPC storytelling and a progression system. A separate expansion adds Pixelmon tasks.

Sponge plugins

Author · 2017–2020 a dozen small plugins

Server plugins I wrote and published for the Sponge ecosystem, including backpacks, towns, command items, offline player queues, claim tweaks for GriefPrevention, Nucleus hover placeholders and XP parties.

Flutter apps

Author myplanets · stocker · mycars

Small public mobile apps, including an inventory and logistics manager. My own portfolio site is also built with Flutter.
